Court/Garden is a three-act dance performance that is inspired by the imperial ballets of Louis XIV’s French Court, the spectatorship of the proscenium stage and the presentation of video feeds as cultural, social and political frames of experience. The audience’s relationship to the performance is in constant flux, investigating the structures behind the act of watching and being seen. a canary torsi (directed by choreographer Yanira Castro) invites audiences to an open rehearsal of Court/Garden with a reimagined third-act.

The piece will be performed in its entirety in the River To River Festival in June. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
