Walking Tours Return on Fridays

Tour
We are all happy that Governors Island is open for its 16th public season. For the second year in a row, it opened on May 1. It will remain open until October 31. This season the Trust For Governors Island is debuting a new ferry, which should help cut down on waiting times to the Battery Maritime Building.

Walking tours have also resumed. These are held on most Fridays of the season, starting at 3:00 p.m. What will be nice is that the Island stays open late on most Friday nights, we we do not need to hustle to make it onto the last ferry off the Island at at 6:00 p.m. You can now enjoy a nice meal and drinks at one of the many places to eat on Governors Island.

The schedule of tours and advance ticket sales is right here, via Big Apple Fanatics Tours.

See you on the ferry!
